Commoner is a fun, low barrier to entry way to play Flesh and Blood. It’s a great constructed format for social gaming. A typical game of Commoner lasts around 20 minutes.


Tournament Structure:

  • Please check in at the front desk to have a table assigned – no pumpkin-patchin’!
  • Entry Fee €5, This can be settled on location by cash or card payments.
  • Game one starts at 18:15 on the dot.
  • Game rounds are 30 minutes with 5 minute breaks between rounds.
  • The event is capped at 40 people.
  • The number of rounds of Swiss will depend on how many people participate in the event.
  • Drinks & snacks are available on location and outside sources are not allowed.
  • Be respectful to the space and other people playing
All players who enter the tournament must make sure they have set up their GEM account!
Prizes:
  • The winner will receive a random Cold Foil from the vault.
  • The Top 8 will receive an Extended Art card at random from the vault.
  • Prizes will be given out as store credit. €5 from the entry fees will be added to the prize pot and divided out among the Top8 players.

Deck Construction:

A Commoner+ deck contains up to 52 cards, being:

  • 40 cards exactly that you will shuffle up to play the game with, containing only common cards.
  • Up to 11 inventory cards (weapons and equipment) that you will choose from during start-of-game procedure (see below). Your inventory can contain up to 2 rare cards and the rest must be common.
  • 1 young hero card, that can be a rare or common.
  • A deck may contain up to 2 copies of each unique card (including cards in your inventory). A card is unique if it has a different card name or pitch value from any other card. 
  • A deck may only contain generic cards and cards with the same class and/or talent as your hero card, and must also comply with the Commoner card legality policy for official play.
  • A card is considered a common card if it has ever been printed with the common rarity or token rarity.
